Design and Copy

The OrionVM Platform provides support for altering the interface as seen by child organizations and resellers.

Changing the Interface

Each option is customizable by selecting the corresponding edit button and changing the details. In addition, each option has commands next to it that do the following:

  • Restore to default: This command will reset the relevant option back to its default value (if available).
  • Apply to children: This command recursively applies this setting to all child resellers.
  • Lock setting: This command locks this option from being changed by any child reseller. Once locked, it can be unlocked again through this command.

Changing the Images

By selecting the Edit images button, you can upload images for use as the logo and as the favorites icon.

  • Logo: The image that is displayed on the top left corner of each page. The image chosen will be scaled so that it is 24 pixels high automatically.
  • Favorites icon: The icon that is associated with the website. This is the icon displayed in the browser tab for each page.

Changing the Colours

By selecting the Edit colors button, you can change the colors that are used for various parts of the interface.

  • Top bar color: The background color used for the navigation bar at the top.
  • Top bar text color: The font color used in the navigation bar.
  • Menu highlight color: The background color used to highlight a menu item on hover.

By selecting the Edit footer content button, you can change the text that is displayed at the bottom of each page. This includes the copyright statement and any external links.

Email Settings

The name and email address that emails get sent from can be configured through the Edit email settings button.

Panel Options

Here you can change whether or not end users can create new organizations by setting whether or not the button is visible.

Command Line Tools

These options allow you to enable or disable access to the command line tools.

  • Show link in footer: Controls whether a link to the tools will be displayed in the footer. It also enables/disables access to the link.
  • Executable name: Changes the name of the tool.
  • Help text: What appears when a user runs the tool with the help command.

Domain Name

The Domain name panel is used to configure the domains used for the reseller. Here you can change the subdomain, and in addition add a custom domain that you own.

Changing the Subdomain

The subdomain used to access this Admin Panel, as well as the End-User Panel, can be changed by selecting the Change Subdomain button and entering in the desired sub domain.

Adding a Custom Domain

To add a custom domain:

  1. Click Change domain mapping
  2. Enter your domain name.
  3. Enter your certificate authority details and your private key in order to authenticate your site to work with HTTPS.
  4. Click OK.

We recommend you to use a wildcard certificate if you are considering selling to other resellers.

Signup

This panel allows for configuration of reseller and organization signup options.

Voice Verification

Voice verification verifies identity through the use of an automated system to call a user to provide them with a verification code. Currently only Twilio is supported. To add a verification provider, selecting the Change button and then select the preferred provider from the drop down. You will then need to enter your details from the provider.

Organization Signup Options

This section contains options for automatic activation and terms & conditions configuration.

If desired, new organizations can be activated automatically, allowing for immediate use after creation. This option has the following commands available, presented as buttons next to the option:

  • Apply to children: This command recursively applies this setting to all child resellers.
  • Lock setting: This command locks this option from being changed by any child reseller. Once locked, it can be unlocked again through this command.

Terms & conditions can also be presented to new users upon confirmation, if desired. If enabled, a url needs to be provided, containing the terms & conditions.

Both these options can be edited by clicking on the Edit signup options button.

Reseller Signup Options

This option either enables or disables automatic signup of new resellers. The following commands are available for this option:

  • Change: This command allows for this option to be enabled or disabled.
  • Apply to children: This command recursively applies this setting to all child resellers.
  • Lock setting: This command locks this option from being changed by any child reseller. Once locked, it can be unlocked again through this command.
