Reseller

This category includes the Dashboard, Status, and Notes panels.


Dashboard

This panel provides a general overview of the selected reseller and of overall resource usage (based off child resellers and organizations). It is split into a number of sections, which are described from top to bottom below.


Viewing and Changing Details

The top most section is the Details section, and the information provided is as follows:

Tag Description
Name the name of the reseller, which can be changed using the Rename button next to it
Domain the corresponding domain for this reseller (this can be changed under the Domain name tab)

The ⚙ icon on the right of this section can be used as quick access for the following features:

Tag Description
New Organization create an new organization under the current reseller
New Reseller create an new reseller under the current reseller
New message to organizations send a new message to child organizations
Rename rename the organization

Viewing Reseller Summary

Below the Details section is a summary of the number of the resellers, organizations and end user accounts underneath the currently selected reseller. Options on what to display can be selected using the v to the top right of the number, and are as follows:

Tag Description
Resellers the total number of child resellers, with or without sub-resellers
Organizations the total number of child organizations, with or without organizations of sub-resellers
End user accounts the total number of child end user accounts, with or without users of sub-resellers

You can also quick select organization and reseller creation, as well as send a new message to all organizations from these drop down menus.


Sending Messages to Children

Messages can be sent to child resellers and/or organizations. This is actionable from the ⚙ to the right of the Details Section, or from the v to the right of the corresponding section in the Reseller Summary.

Selecting this will open a popup, from which you can select where the message needs to be addressed to, the subject and the message.


Viewing Resources

Under the Resources heading, three pi charts provide the following information:

Tag Description
Instances the number of running instances of each instance tier, or the amount of memory in use by of each instance tier
Disks the total number of disks of each disk tier, or the total amount of storage in use of each disk tier
IP Addresses the total number of allocated public and private IP addresses

Resource usage displayed can be limited to specific regions (i.e. Australia, United States) or to a specific data centre by using the v drop down to the top right of the section. Note that this will also affect the data displayed in the History Section.


Viewing History

Under the Resources heading, three usage history graphs provide overviews of the following information:

Tag Description
Public network utilization inbound and outbound network traffic, for either public or private networks
Memory utilization total memory in use, for individual or all tiers
Storage utilization total storage allocated, for individual or all tiers

The amount of time for which history will display can be changed at logical intervals between the Last hour to the Last 30 days using the v drop down to the top right of the section. You limit the usage graphs to a specific region or DC from the corresponding drop down in the Resources Section.


Deleting the Reseller

You can delete a reseller from the ⚙ drop down menu on the top right of the dashboard. You cannot delete a reseller that you are currently logged into as an admin user. All organizations and sub-resellers must first be deleted before you can delete the parent reseller.


Status

This panel displays the current status of the selected reseller.


Viewing and Changing the Account Status

The account status is viewable under the Account Status heading. The possible statuses are:

  • Demo: The account is in demo mode. No resources can be created by organizations of this reseller.
  • Active: The account is active. There are no restrictions on resource creation for this reseller's organizations.

The status can be changed from demo to active using the Change button. Note that once this is done, it cannot be undone. Also note that you cannot change your own account status.


Notes

These are notes, available to you whenever you log in.


Editing Notes

Notes can be edited using the Edit button.
